Pranic Healing and Integrative Energy Medicine

Pranic Healing® is system of energy healing based on the knowledge of the Chakra system that utilizes Universal Energy called "Prana" to balance, harmonize and transform the body's energy processes. Prana is a Sanskrit word that means life-force. This invisible bio-energy (Universal Energy) keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health.

About Pranic Healing.
Pranic Healing® was developed by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui. In India “Pranic Healing” is considered to be a part of the Ancient Yoga Vidya System of Wisdom and Knowledge.  Master Choa Kok Sui, states that this form of Energy Healing also derives its roots from Chinese Traditional Medicine.

The treatment is applied above the skin (there is no physical contact between practitioner and client) on the bio-electromagnetic field known as the aura, or energy body, which is a mold or blueprint that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body. This method is based on two principles: The first is that the body absorbs "Prana" and distributes it throughout the physical body, to the muscles, organs, glands, etc. The second is that Pranic Healing® works on the energy body is that physical ailments first appear as energetic disruptions in the aura before manifesting as problems in the physical body.

Like Reiki, Pranic Healing® can be practice on yourself as well as others; unlike Reiki there is no attunement to be able to practice Pranic Healing but a series of classes offered through The Center for Pranic Healing or their official website.

Master Choa Kok Sui wrote many book describing each class content in great details. Pranic Healing can be understood by reading Miracles Through Pranic Healing, Advanced Pranic Healing, Pranic Pschotherapy, Pranic Crystal Healing and Pranic Psychic Self Defense Books.These 5 books contain the necessary protocols to work on yourself & others, as well as address physical, emotional and psychological issues, using crystals to increase the healing rate, and techniques to protect yourself from negative energies.

Pranic Healing use 2 basic techniques: the first is the removal of the negative energy which is similar to a shamanic extraction and the second is the giving of energy or Prana using ones hands. The extraction can be done with hands or crystal. Crystals are also used to break down the negative energy (the disintegrator) and to energize (the laser) . Pranic Healing teaches Energization Exercises and Meditations
A serie or energization exercises very similar to Kriya Yoga (see below); and meditations involving visualization and segments of guided meditation. One popular meditation is the meditation on twin hearts.

The Meditation on Twin Hearts is truly special. It works on the physical, mental, and spiritual levels to open the heart chakra (the emotional heart) and the crown chakra (the spiritual heart), thereby enabling you to draw down a great amount of high-quality divine energy into the crown. The prana that this meditation produces greatly promotes physical and mental health as well as inner illumination.

Meditation and Kriya Yoga

Kriya Yoga from Paramhansa Yoganada

Paramahansa Yogananda provides a description of Kriya Yoga in his Autobiography of a Yogi. The actual technique is given to students of the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons after a preliminary period of study and practice of the three preparatory techniques taught by Paramahansa Yogananda. Taken together as a comprehensive system, these meditation techniques enable the practitioner to achieve the highest benefits and divine goal of the ancient yoga science.

Developed by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1916, the Energization Exercises prepare the body for meditation Tking about fifteen minutes to perform, they are one of the most effective means of eliminating stress and nervous tension. Practicing them prior to meditation is a great help in entering a calm, interiorized state of awareness.

Kriya Yoga iincludes several meditation technique including mantras
Using the Hong-Sau mantra meditation helps to develop one’s latent powers of focused concentration.
The Aum mantra meditation expands awareness beyond limitations of body and mind to experience the all-pervading Divine Presence as Aum.
The Kriya Yoga Technique is an advanced Raja Yoga technique of pranayama (life-energy control). Kriya reinforces and revitalizes subtle currents of life energy (prana) in the spine and brain.The breathing techniques such as Nadi Sodhaha are used as well as pose similar to the Falun Gong standing meditation exercise #2 in which is a tree pose is held witht hands at the height of the third eye.
